Here at Madhukara we are huge fans of the show Ted Lasso! We’ve been excitedly awaiting the return of the show and start of season 3. The show’s message of hope and faith in humanity in the face of difficult personal challenges speaks to the heart of Madhukara’s mission.
Tackling homelessness, feeding the hungry, addressing gaps in the healthcare system- all of this takes teamwork. None of us can do it alone. At Madhukara we are a team of individuals from different backgrounds who have come together to, quite simply, make our world a better place.

The state of the world can be overwhelming. When there are so many challenges to be faced, we often wonder what we can do that would make a difference. Serving others together helps us recognize we can make a positive effect on the world, and have hope for the future. While we can each make an impact on our own, the impact we make together is exponential. And, a major effect of our work together is not only providing immediate, tangible assistance to the people we help, but also offering hope to those who often feel forgotten and left behind.

Over the past few years at Madhukara, our projects, fundraising ideas and overall vision have all been contributed by and collaborated on by our board members and volunteers. We’ve seen firsthand that when we work together as a team, anything is possible. If you are spreading hope, love, and kindness in any way - helping out a neighbor, picking up a piece of litter, even smiling at someone on the street who looks like they are having a bad day, you are a honey maker, and part of team Madhukara!
