Madhukara, Sanskrit. Pronounced MAA-DOO- KAR- AH. Meaning: Honeybee.

Madhukara is an ever expanding group of kind souls and healers that are committed to the awakening of humanity to the divine presence, the grace, that resides within each of us. When we are aligned with that part of us which is ever connected to the divine, our soul, then true healing occurs. We recognize that when we serve others as reflections of the divine, we experience that awakening within ourselves as an instrument of peace.

As instruments of peace and divine grace, we create a world of small miracles by simply loving our neighbors. There is immense power in this higher love and in the expression of gratitude. When one feels gratitude, in that simple moment, their heart opens and they experience peace, joy, and divine connection. We need more love and more gratitude in this world and it is Madhukara’s mission to create a world of miracles both small and big, both seen and unseen. We invite you to join us as a miracle worker to your neighbors in your communities.

Madhukara’s totem is the honey bee. We are the honey makers, dedicated and hard-working, just like the bee, to make life sweet. As instruments of divine work, the honey bee is one of the planet’s smallest creatures, but yet it has a big impact.

When we are small, without ego, and part of the collective, then we too can create greatness. The beehive, completely united, acts as one living organism just as all of humanity is one and ever connected. In early Christianity, the honeybee represented the Holy Spirit and the sweetness of honey represented Christ and his Divine Mercy. In Hindu mythology, bees are divine assistants to humans’ earthly life, keeping all of nature in harmony. We are, metaphorically, honey bees and we invite you to join our hive.

At Madhukara, we offer programming to Heal, Connect, and Serve. In serving others, we serve the divine and in doing so, we experience true healing. We offer educational programs and experiential events to calm the mind and open the heart. Madhukara is also a sustainable working farm that shares food with others through our meal services at the regional homeless centers and for the local food banks. Through Madhukara’s Miracle Fund, we respond timely to those in need of shelter, food, and/or medical supplies.
